What a Mess!

So after I spent days and hours learning how to put together my photo slide show and add music to it, then do a handmade title page in Paint, I was so proud of myself and the end result, only to be crushed in a mater of minutes.

I don’t know if there is a way to go from Nero to WordPress, Nero to YouTube to WordPress, or Nero to ANYTHING else!!!! I spent more time than  should have trying to figure this out until I finally broke down and started over in slide.com… of course offered by WordPress.

So to say the least I got a very extensive lesson in not only Nero, but in learning to make sure things can convert / upload before completing a project in a very specific program.  Hope it’s ok!

biggest dreams

At this point my biggest dreams are to:

Graduate in June

Get Married

Have a career

have kid(s)

continue to stay debt free

live the “American Dream” whatever that may be by my personal definition

So for the purposes of this project I’ll do a retirement budget… just for fun

A music junkie gets her fix

I love to listen to music, in the car, at home, at work, I even wake up with songs playing in my head! Although I love music, I can’t afford to buy CDs all the time, so I burn them and then transfer the CDs to my phone.  In my teach project I will tell how to burn a CD from an original CD, or from off the web, then transfer it to my phone’s memory card (this way it can work for everyone to transfer to a card instead of one particular phone that most people don’t have).

Finished culture site

after a few issues I came across posting images, I think I have everything liked and up properly. Let’s just say that I’m glad this is over, hope I did good and never have to revisit this experience.

Librarian Contact

After trying for several days to IM the OSU librarian with no luck, I was finally able to use the school computer to use Outlook and email her.  That was aggravating because I don’t have Outlook at home and it turned out to be the only way I could get an email to Jane.  She finally responded and gave me some good cites to look at and get info.

Erna Schneider Hoover

In 1954, Hoover became a researcher at Bell Laboratories in New Jersey, where she created a computerized telephone switching system. Her device, which used a computer to monitor incoming calls and then adjusted the call acceptance rate, eliminated overloading problems. The principles of Hoover’s system are used by communications companies today.

categories

I’m really not too sure that I set up the categories correctly 😦  I think I’m trying to make things harder than they need to be on here.

Cultural Site Project

I am excited to discover something I love using that was invented by a woman. Stay tuned for more exciting details.

Teach Project

What to teach…. Hope an idea comes to me soon. I’m thinking this project might have something to do with converting my CD’s to files that can be saved and played on my cell phone / MP3 player. We’ll see, maybe something really cool will come into my life and we can all learn about it together.

Financial Analysis Project

My biggest dream currently is to get married after graduation in June ’08.  I currently live on a budget and finances are my friend, so I figure that if I’m going to dream big and figure the finances for that dream it might as well be the most realistic, useful finance project I can do. So here’s to dreaming big, and a successful wedding. 🙂
